In 1987 American Quality Stripping began to explore the potential of chemically stripping powder coated and electro-coated metal parts. By 1994 we had successfully developed proprietary environmentally safe chemistry that would quickly and efficiently remove these coatings from ferrous and non-ferrous parts. These chemistries are effective with virtually all coatings and safe on all metals. Our non-hazardous proprietary materials can remove a powder coating and leave galvanized and zinc phosphate coatings intact. This allows chemical stripping of mixed metal parts; whereas, conventional methods require disassembly of parts and separate treatment. These chemical stripping processes are ideal for temperature sensitive parts that cannot be exposed to higher temperature processes which may affect temper.
